Amazing. Tumblr is well known for its cult followings of niche animated films and there’s almost NOTHING on this site for my all time favorite Don Bluth film The Secret of NIHM so appreciation post time.
The film was an obvious labor of love, and its filled with mysticism and experimental lighting techniques. The art is fucking to die for and most of characters are at least tolerable to an adult audience. This is coming from someone who has ALSO read the book and I actually enjoyed the films additions and changes for a compelling sort of back yard fantasy story.
If you don’t know anything about it, the story follows a newly widowed mouse named Mrs. Brisby who’s trying to move her family from the feild before the farmer plows it. Her son Timmothy gets a terrible case of pneumonia so she has to go to the rats who live in the farmer’s rosebush to help her move her entire house.

man y’all remember when the avengers movie came out and everyone headcanoned that all the avengers would live together in the tower and had all these cute posts about various fun ways they could interact and then the movies literally never had any of them even be friends
I want to state, for the record, that “all the avengers would live together in the tower” wasn’t collective headcanon, it was canon. The very last scene of Avengers (2012), the one they left us on, is Tony redesigning the tower, designing a living area for each Avenger. That was, canonically, what was supposed to happen, in canon, and they just changed their minds and decided to… not. For whatever goldarn reason.

Find all the description or action that starts with “there” and change it.
“There is a strike of lightning” becomes “lightning strikes the sky.”
“There is panic building in his chest” becomes “panic builds in his chest.”
